The Meaning Behind MHealing: A Journey Back to Self

When I first began dreaming about creating my own psychotherapy practice, I knew I wanted the name to hold meaning - something that would reflect both the inner work of healing and the spirit of what happens within the therapeutic space.

That’s how MHealing was born — read as am healing.

It’s not about me; it’s about you.

It represents the ongoing, imperfect, and transformative process of healing - one that unfolds moment by moment. Healing isn’t something that happens to us once and for all. It’s something we live into.

The initials MH carry layers of meaning - some practical, some personal. The rest of the story will come later.

The Roots of My Story

I was born in Moldova, a small post-Soviet country where life was shaped by resilience, faith, and community. Growing up in a culture where people relied on each other to survive taught me early on about the importance of connection; but also about the reality of pain and suffering.

We didn’t have much in material terms, but we had each other.

Faith and kindness weren’t choices - they were the threads that held life together. People believed in God, but more importantly, they believed in the goodness of one another. Looking back, I see how that worldview - shaped by hardship and hope - quietly nurtured a humanistic spirit in me: a deep respect for life, a belief in compassion, and the understanding that even in suffering, there is dignity and meaning.

 

Curiosity About the Human Experience

From a young age, I was drawn to the deeper questions of life: Why do people hurt each other? How do they survive grief, betrayal, or loss?

I witnessed people endure incredible hardship - heartbreak, infidelity, illness, even death - and still find a way to keep going.

That planted a lifelong question in me: How do people not only survive pain, but eventually grow from it?

Years later, when I discovered Viktor Frankl’s book “Man’s Search for Meaning”, something clicked. I realised that I had already witnessed what Frankl described - people making meaning out of suffering, transforming pain into wisdom. It was the moment I understood that meaning itself is healing.

 

The Journey Toward Psychotherapy

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for years in fast-paced corporate roles in digital advertising and recruitment - chasing success, security, and the ideals I thought defined worth.

But no matter how much I achieved, something felt incomplete.

Eventually, my body began to speak the truth I couldn’t yet name. I kept getting sick and looking for answers in doctors, not realizing that my body was simply saying NO to the version of me I was fighting to maintain. I just couldn’t hear it at the time. It took me a while to understand… there was never meant to be a fight.

The turning point came when I began to slow down and listen inward. I met my perfectionism, my fear of not being enough, and my anxiety - not as enemies to fix, but as parts of me longing to be understood. Letting go of the old beliefs that once kept me safe became the start of coming home to myself.

What began as my personal healing journey eventually became my calling - to hold space for others as they return to themselves.

Why I Work With Women

A spiritual healer once told me that in my psychotherapy journey, I would attract the people I’m meant to help - those aligned with my own experiences. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what she meant. But as I began practising, I noticed a clear pattern: nearly all my clients were women.

Women struggling with anxiety, low self-confidence, burnout, and relationship challenges - the very themes I had faced myself. I saw pieces of my own story reflected in theirs, and something within me understood them on a deeper level. Through this connection, the work became more intuitive, more alive.

That’s when I realised what she meant: when we live authentically and align with who we truly are, life - or the universe - responds in kind. Working with women feels not just natural, but profoundly meaningful. It’s a shared journey of healing, self-trust, and rediscovering one’s voice.

 

What MHealing Represents

To me, MHealing represents the space between being and becoming.

It’s about honouring your story - not trying to erase it. It’s about meeting every part of yourself with compassion, even the ones you’ve learned to hide.

Healing is not linear. It’s not about being “fixed.”

It’s about reconnecting - with your truth, your emotions, your values, and your inner wisdom.

Just as you might go to the gym to strengthen your body, therapy is where you strengthen your mind and soul — keeping yourself grounded, aligned, and whole.

 

A Space for You

If you take one thing away from this, let it be this:

Healing is not about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who you already are beneath the layers of fear, expectation, and survival.

MHealing is that space — a space to return to yourself.

A space to explore, feel, and rediscover the parts of you that may have been silenced or forgotten.
